Screen printing magic...

I found these screen prints will looking on the sustainable craft and print blog http://www.loveandthrift.com/. The designer is Kate Banazi from Australia, she uses water based inks to print they are friendly to the environment. The layering of the prints is wonderful they look like they are digitally printed. I found these on http://shop.katebanazi.com.

Thread Accessories

http://www.ecouterre.com/grains-colorful-chi-chi-textile-necklaces-support-guatemalan-artisans/I am forever throwing away bits of thread that is left over from sewing and I have always felt guilty and wanted to create something out of it, this designer Chi Chi inspired me to start making my own necklaces out of unused thread.

Brilliant Idea

Some of the best work I find on the internet does not have a name put with it. I found this mystery designer on Flikr. I think this is a fabulous idea and a great use of an old jumper and would work wonderfully as an embellishment for a coat or bag. Here is a link to where i found these pictures, if this is your work please let me know who you are! www.flickr.com/photos/47904146@N06/4389992942/in/photostream/

Smocking is beautiful

Whilst searching for designers that use craft techniques within their work I stumbled across the Designer Tinctory. Her use of the old craft technique of smocking is mesmerizing. They are subtle, delicate works of art. She is exactly the designer I was looking for to support my written work for my Masters. www.tinctory.co.uk/
