Junky Styling....

 www.junkystyling.co.uk

My loves would not be complete without Junky styling. I am currently writing about them in my written work and so thought they had to be added. I have been a admired Junky for many years and hope to own one or two of their garments before too long. I am also a very big fan of their collaborative work with MIA who I am also a big fan of.

ECO - DECO ILUMINACIÓN lampshades....

I found these lampshades on etsy.com. I really like them, you see a lot of recycled magazine products at the moment but these could easily not be made out of magazines. The shadows cast by the angular shape folds are very beautiful.

Alexandra Ferguson: Recycled wool cushions....

These cushion covers make me smile. They are not only environmentally friendly, being made from recycled wool, but phrases that are stitched onto them are very amusing and clever. I like them because they are different to your average pretty cushion cover, but still very stylish. You can find her on etsy.com.

Poketo: Upcycled handbags.....

I want to create accessories from discarded clothing. These handbags from Poketo are very beautiful constructed. I love the way the designer has created some bags that are obviously created using garments like the shirt tote but others look completely new.

These bags are upcycled from discarded street banners.

SHE: Sound recording furniture...

I love this furniture designed by the design duo SHE from Norway. The honeycomb structure of the fabric they use reminds me of smocking. The fabric they use is fabric used in sound recording studios.

Helen Amy Murray: Hand cut leather chairs ....

Helen Amy Murray studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design where I am currently studying. She creates stunning pieces of furniture that she renovates and covers in leather that she has cut into by hand. The patterns she cuts are so intricate that they look as though they have been done by machine when in fact they have been produced with her very skilled hands.

Gary Harvey: Upcycled Gowns

Since writing about Eco Chic in my Degree dissertation I have been a fan of Gary Harvey, his gowns are so obviously made from recycled garments and bags but they look truly stunning.
